Dear Mr. President

Mr. President, George "W" Bush... please stop visiting the state of Florida. It seems that Mother Nature has it in for you and the data is there to show it. Each time that you have visited our great state, we have been followed up within a week with another blasted Hurricane. Yesterday you were investigating damage caused by Hurrican Jeanne and today there are reports from the National Hurricane Center of more storms brewing... just a matter of time if our theory is holding true. In the meantime, please stay out of Florida, we've had enough of the bad weather, just as we've had enough of your bad policies and unjustified warfare. Pack your bags in Washington and go back to Texas. I'm sure Mr. Kerry will be willing to pick up the tab for your moving van!

Sincerely,

The People of Florida

Weathering the storm

This summer in Florida, I have been through an initiation by Nature that I will never forget. We have had to deal with three Tropical Systems [Huricanes and Storms] and were eagerly watching a fourth. This is the first time in my life that I have had to deal with this kind of weather since I spent most of my life protected by the lovely Adirondack Mountains in New York, dealing with cold winters but nothing like this. Now we have two more months left of the season and we are hoping that Mother Nature has finished with her wrath for this year.
