Return to Blog-land
Just realized today that it has been quite a while since I've made any updates to my blog. It's been a summer full of changes around here. We have settled into the new house and I am finally setting into working from my home office all the time. It was a lot harder to do than I had once figured it would be. We have seen challenging assignments and projects at work but there was also a time where things were scant and we were in search of new projects. Trying to balance that out while working from home wasn't easy. It takes a lot of dedication to make sure you are doing what you need to be doing when you have the open door to the rest of your life so accessible. That big mortgage payment is a big reason why it's an easy choice to stay on task at work. I know that my family is counting on me to make sure that the roof stays over their heads.
We finished the redecoration project in the bathroom: taking down the old wall paper, painting it a nice sunshine yellow and changing out the cabinetry handles to match the new towel holders we installed. Kelly and her mom decorated the kids rooms in a different theme for each. We are still in the tinkering stage for decorating the den where my office is and the master bedroom. We have some ideas but seem to be stuck on the approach. We have a lot of time to work on the projects but the money and tools is another issue. They always make it look so easy on TV! We also have some backyard landscaping that we are debating on taking on but we can't do it all at once. Just need to find a way out of the rut I've gotten myself into and then we can take it one step at a time.
